"There are some dragons who were built to have and hold"

- Joanna Newsom, “Clam Crab Cockle Cowrie”

Got the job. Starting tomorrow.
And now I’m going to crush limes with my bare hands for some celebratory tequila-limes with Herbalsmoothie, who is crushing cheesecake ingredients with her bare hands and what looks like an antique diabolo.
(We’ve sent the butler away to a quiz, so we’re left to our own devices for cakes and cocktails. His loss!)

Communal Parks & Rec watching remains the best thing ever, with much pausing for yelling stuff out at the screen.

Given my flatmate/watching companion, I’m sure it comes as no surprise that a vast majority of the yells were loud exclamations about Chris’ perfection. (I, on the other hand, was mostly confused about how Andy seems to be turning ginger as well as crazy ripped.)

"The artist—who died in 2008—was known for his startlingly realistic collages of urban scenes, often animated with a kind of end-of-the-world, scifi-inflected festivity. Waterfalls scour sublime new cliffsides from the architectural canyons of Manhattan; modern tower blocks pitch and yaw atop aircraft carriers at sea; battleship gun turrets are cloned and repeated into Baroque stupas—cathedrals of artillery—along the empty roads of agrarian landscapes.”

We found these guys chilling outside the supermarket. Our dognapping attempt was unsuccessful, but I would’ve claimed the one in the legwarmers.
